From a wooden barrel in 1776 to the world's most advanced attack sub. 250 years of Silent Service.
David Bushnell built the first American submarine — the Turtle — out of oak barrel staves and hand-cranked propellers, and used it to attack a British warship in New York Harbor in 1776. Two hundred and fifty years later, the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine is the most sophisticated undersea platform in history. Both were built by people who refused to accept that the surface is where the fight ends.
This tee honors every American submariner from then to now — the ones who serve where nobody can see them, on the boats nobody talks about. Printed in the U.S.A. on a soft, heavyweight unisex cotton tee by a veteran-owned print shop.
- Historically accurate design — the Turtle and the Virginia side by side, with the dates that connect them
- Heavyweight unisex fit — comfortable enough for a barbecue, sharp enough for a change-of-command
- Made-to-order in the U.S.A. — no overseas warehouse, no mass production
For every bubblehead, every dolphin-wearer, and everyone who knows what "Rig for Ultra-Quiet" means.
